Happy Friday all and happy half term!  What a fantastic first half term it’s been! A huge thank you to all who came along to our parent consultations this week. It was lovely to catch up with you and chat about how well the children have settled into Year 5.  I hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable half-term break. I hope to see lots of you at our Fireworks Event on 1st November. It should be a brilliant evening and if you are able to volunteer at the event, please get in touch!  PAGE 44-45 homework in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling book.  Spellings (Test 3rd November) I  will pick 10 random spellings from the last 6 weeks.  vicious gracious spacious malicious precious conscious delicious suspicious atrocious ferocious ambitious cautious fictitious infectious nutritious contentious superstitious pretentious anxious obnoxious symbol mystery lyrics oxygen symptom physical system typical crystal rhythm apply supply identify occupy multiply rhyme cycle ...

Happy Friday all!  We’ve had such a brilliant week in Year 5! The children have been absolutely fantastic — engaged, curious, and full of thoughtful questions. We were lucky enough to have two very special visitors. The NSPCC came in to lead a workshop about staying safe and speaking out, which the children responded to so maturely. We also had a fascinating visit from Mr Hall from Google , who taught us all about systems, the internet, Google and the amazing ways technology is used. The children were captivated throughout — a huge thank you to Mr Hall for giving up his time to inspire us! A quick reminder that Parents’ Consultations are taking place next week . Please make sure you’ve booked a time to meet with me — it’s really important that we have a chance to talk about your child’s progress and how we can continue to support their learning together.
