28.4.23

  Year 5, This week you have been very busy with your learning. In English, you have begun writing your own chapters in the style of Ross MacKenzie and completing prefix and suffix tasks in grammar sessions. In Maths, you have calculated with percentages and been problems solving across fractions, decimals and percentages. In geography, you have written letters to family and friends about visiting the coasts of the UK and in science you tested your theories of water resistance by undertaking an experiment. In PSHE, you have now learnt and recalled some very important 1 st aid skills. Next week is shorter because of the Bank Holiday and super busy as 22 of you have Bikeability too! We will also be continuing our stories in English and working with percentages before moving onto reflection and translation in maths. 21.4.23 including half term project and overview

   Year 5, We have had a very busy start to the Summer Term! This week, in English, you have considered a range of ‘Wonders’ inspired by ‘The Nowhere Emporium’. You have then begun planning your own chapter. In maths, you have recognised and calculated with percentages, also finding relationships between fractions, decimals and percentages. You have learnt about the rivers and coasts of the UK in geography and have considered the health implications of smoking and vaping in PSHE. This afternoon, you have finished creating your 3D sculptures of people inspired by your drawings of people in proportion, and this morning you had your class photo. Lincolnsfields meeting 20.4.23

Recommended Kit List For Residential Visitors We recommend comfortable older clothes for the children’s stay here at the Lincolnsfields Centre and ones which are suitable for the range of weather depending upon the time of year as many of the activities are outside. Please label all of your child’s items with their name or initials.
