Hello all,

I hope you're all well and are enjoying the sunshine. I can't believe we are heading into the final week in this half term.

This Wednesday is open afternoon and I hope you can join us. Friday morning is the Oakmere Mini-Marathon - please ensure your child has their PE kit that day and a bottle of water.

Thank you to those who came to the Lincolnsfield meeting this week. Here is the information I shared for those who couldn't make it:

 Lincolnsfield Children’s Centre 4th-6th June 2025

Staff Attending:
Miss Davis
Mrs Reynolds
Miss Weller
Mrs Meadows (day visitor only)

Accommodation:
All children will stay together in a single unit, with separate sides for boys and girls. Dormitory-style rooms will be allocated on the day of arrival. Each child will need to make their own bed (bedding is provided), and there is a common room for relaxation.

What to Pack:
A full kit list will be provided. Please ensure your child:
- Does not bring electronics, aerosol cans or cameras.
- Packs with your support so they know what they have and where to find it.
- Has clothing suitable for the weather (please check the forecast before we leave).

Food:
Here is a sample menu based on last year’s trip:
Day 1: Packed lunch from home; Pizza, chips & beans; Brownie & ice cream
Day 2: Cereals, toast & beans; Sandwiches (cheese, ham or jam), chocolate, crisps & fruit; Spaghetti Bolognese; Apple crumble.
Day 3: Cereals, toast & eggs. Sandwiches (cheese, ham or jam), chocolate, crisps & fruit.

Activities:
Here’s what the children will enjoy:
Day 1: Welcome, riddle-solving walk, woodland walk, mini-beast activities and soft play

Day 2: “Children at War” themed day.

Day 3: Arts and crafts morning before departure.

Important Forms:
Please complete and return OV7A forms as soon as possible - available from the office. These are essential for us to ensure your child’s safety and well-being during the trip.

We will text you when we are on our way back from Lincolnsfield and you can pick the children up when they return to school or at the end of the school day.

Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to get in touch with me.

Home Learning Project
Our home-learning project this half term is a personal diary as we are learning about the story of Anne Frank and her diary in English. I’ve asked the children to try to write in their diary most days. This is a more personal project than usual, so it won’t be shared with the class unless your child chooses to. If they’d like to bring their diary in to show or tell us about it, we’ll be having a sharing opportunity during the week commencing Monday 19th May.

As always, please ensure your child is completing their regular home learning:
At least 1 hour of Sumdog per week
10 minutes of reading aloud each day
