Lincolnsfield - Day 1
Good evening all,
I am delighted to let you know that we arrived safely at Lincolnsfield and have had a fantastic first day!
Since arriving, the children have thrown themselves into a variety of activities. We started with some team-building games. We then spent time exploring the woods, hunting for minibeasts and creating nature colour palettes using the wonderful range of colours we could find in the environment around us.
The children have been brilliant throughout the day and have shown great enthusiasm, curiosity and teamwork. They are currently enjoying some well-earned downtime before we head off for dinner.
This evening, we are all looking forward to our soft play session, which I suspect may use up some of the energy reserves the children seem to have in endless supply! Afterwards, we will be winding down with a movie night before heading to bed.
Tomorrow is our exciting Children at War day, where the children will learn all about life in Britain during the Second World War. They will take part in a range of immersive activities and gain a fascinating insight into what childhood was like during this important period of history.
As for the staff, we are all doing well. I am optimistic that I may even get some sleep tonight. Current predictions range from "a solid eight hours" to "approximately three minutes" — we shall see which proves more accurate! If I look slightly more tired in tomorrow's photos, please know that your children are having an absolutely wonderful time.
Thank you for your continued support. We will update you again tomorrow with more news from our adventures.
Miss Davis :)
