Recommended books for Year 5

 Year 5 recommended reading

This is by no means an exhaustive list but the books below are recommended for children of Year 5. Some are single books, others are part of a series. Please ensure that you read a range of different text types and genres, and a range of authors as this will help with reading and writing. Please read the blurbs and summaries before buying as different books suit different children. This list includes books with thriller and horror themes as some children in Year 5 will enjoy them.
