Year 5,
What a half term! I can’t quite believe we are here already.
This week you have finished our geography topic by producing
a non-chronological report in English and then repurposing it in geography as a
double page spread (these were beautifully decorated). In maths you have been
working on various mental methods for multiplication and division and have
applied them in a variety of contexts. We have spent most of our afternoons
practising for today’s assembly and I couldn’t be prouder of the way you
presented yourselves this morning.
Next week is, of course, half term and so I hope you enjoy some
time with friends and family and have a chance to rest and get ready for next
half term where we will begin our first history topic (which will also be a
part of some of our English) and our next PSHE topic. We will also continue with
‘Who Let the Gods Out’ and find out what happens to Elliott, Virgo and
Thanatos! There will be more information on all of our learning to come on the
blog entry at the beginning of the next half term.
Have a lovely week,
Miss H Huntley 😊
