Year 5,
What a half term! In this final week, you have written very
persuasive letters in English, and then written fantastically detailed
non-chronological reports on the Vikings in English / history. In maths, you
multiplied with fractions, including mixed numbers. You held an artist gallery
on Wednesday, where you shared your half term projects – to see such an incredible
range of projects that had been completed to such a high standard was
fantastic. You finished your class reader 'Who Let the Gods Out' and began reading the new one 'The Nowhere Emporium'. Today, you found out your parts in the play and we had a read
through. You also received a letter explaining the parts of your outfit that
may need specific sourcing.
Next week is half term. Have an amazing break and I look
forward to seeing you refreshed and ready for another very busy (if rather
short) half term! Your only home learning for this week is your regular reading, Sumdog and learning your lines for the show.
