Year 5,
Apologies for it being a bit late but last week was rather
manic.
Last week, in English you were writing your narratives inspired by Macbeth, and in maths you developed your learning on negative numbers. In geography, you considered the impact of humans on our oceans and you then considered what you could work on in fieldwork. This was then used on our trip to Frinton on Sea. You also had a chance to play your team games which were very well designed.
This week will have a flexible timetable as we have lots of
additional things to do. You will finish your narratives in English and will
have a few more maths sessions. You will have the opportunity to watch the Year
6 production and attend the Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly. You will also spend some
afternoons sharing your oceans and seas projects.
Remember:
- Your project deadline is today
- Next Friday we finish at 2pm
- Reading – please ensure that you read 5 times a week and
record this in your Reading Journal. You MUST have your reading book and
journal in school every day.
- Spellings – please practise putting spellings into
sentences as well as practising them as individual words.
- SumDog – Please practise on this as it is crucial that you
maintain your learning knowledge – these games help you to maintain what you
have already learnt and maybe learn a little before we begin in class
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Cresswell 😊
